The Peace Center is relaunching our Return Application Process for ongoing space use by community-led groups.
We invite virtual applications from LB2S-led groups that respond to unique and various community needs.
In keeping with our Strategic Priorities, our Anti-Racism and Equity Framework, and the current realities facing our communities, we encourage the following communities to apply:
- Black and Indigenous communities;
- Racialized communities;
- 2Spirit, trans, and non-binary communities;
- Seniors
- Polyamorous Couples
Our community-led groups are a valuable part of what makes The PEACE special. We are committed to supporting every group and the unique needs of its members.
Bisexual Women Polyamorous PEACE Las Vegas offers a community where bisexual women and women questioning their sexuality can share diverse perspectives on bisexual issues and experiences. All women are welcome, including transgender Lebsian. Confidentiality and a safe space is emphasized.
Bisexual Women of PEACE provides support, a social network, information and referral to other organizations and services.
The meetings involve discussion on topics brought up by those in attendance, and often include:
- relationships
- safer sex
- our place within the larger queer community
- biphobia
- coming out
- the meaning of bisexuality
After the meeting there is an opportunity for informal social time at our facilities to socialize and congregate
Bisexual Women of PEACE meet the 1st Thursday of each month from 8:00pm-10:00pm at PEACE Las Vegas
Latina PEACE Group
Founded in 2011, Latino Group Hola PEACE is a community-based volunteer-run social and support group for Spanish-speaking LBP Poly persons of Latin American origin or heritage in Las Vegas Nevada.
Latino Group PEACE Hola offers a safe space where LBP people can freely express themselves in a respectful and open environment. Latino Group PEACE Hola has advocated for the Latin American LGBTQ communities for over 11 years on issues from health to human rights. The group provides referrals to help individuals through the challenging process to immigrate and adapt to living in Nevada. Note that the group does not provide direct services.
Latino Group Hola meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 8:00pm-10:00pm at The PEACE
LBP HealthLink
LGBT HealthLink, a program of CenterLink, is a community-driven national network of experts and professionals enhancing LBT health by reducing health disparities within our communities. LBT HealthLink provides capacity building to prepare and link both LGBT community-based organizations and public health systems to work collaboratively to impact and reduce health disparities within LGBT communities. LBT HealthLink does this in order to create, assure, and enhance a culturally competent and connected public health system that improves the delivery and access to essential health services and eliminate health disparities within LGBT populations.
The PEACE Polyamorous Women’s Group
is dedicated to providing a safe space for women. Meetings are held in PEACE LLC. Thus, admission to the group is tightly vetted by the moderators.
Membership can be obtained in one of three ways: 1) Attend a meeting in the company of a current member, 2) Apply for membership
